July 2022: work in full swing

July 2022 was very rich in events and gifts, and also pleased with the number of new volunteers and the amount of work done)))

This month, a new stage of the program to eliminate the consequences of the occupation started in B50 — finally, our volunteers started restoring housing! Previously, we were engaged in conservation and temporary repairs, and now we take care of the restoration of the entire object!

Our first restoration took place in a new place for the B50 – in the city of Makariv. In the courtyard of Dovha Street, 150 there was no house left at all, only old outbuildings survived. Therefore, the task was large-scale – to turn the summer kitchen into a warm home in the winter. Our volunteers did an excellent job: they insulated the walls, made a ceiling, sewerage and ventilation, held water, connected two rooms, replaced the door, inserted a window, and installed electricity. Now the owners (nice pensioners) will have warm housing for the winter)))

In July, for the first time, B50 volunteers dismantled a high-rise building in Irpin and traditionally worked hard in Moshchun (the cooperatives Shlakoblochnyk, Perets, Pushcha Vodytsia garden society): they cleared rubble, prepared houses for winter (arranged roofs, windows), cleared a place for a modular house for charming Valentyna.

The month was rich in gifts – we were pleased with them by München Hilft Ukraine and Ruslan Horovyi. Now we have a new generator, rotary hammers, chainsaws, drills, a welding machine, a set of tools and many, many other cool and necessary things)))

In total, in July, 350 volunteers made 14 trips, worked in hellish heat and summer rain, and continued to help people diligently)))
