Want to join a volunteer trip with B50?

If you are not a citizen of Ukraine (a person who temporarily lives in the territory of Ukraine, has a residence permit, is a citizen of another country, or is a stateless person), in order to participate in volunteering on the territory of Ukraine and with the B50 community, please fill out this form.

We welcome your participation in our events and will provide transportation to the work location, as well as try to organize an English-speaking environment and provide you with the necessary information.

At the same time, we are not able to provide housing, transportation, or other services outside of our volunteer events.

Involvement in volunteer activities with the below projects in such a case is possible only after receiving this questionnaire.

How else can I get involved in helping with the B50?

Clean Up! Project

B50 is looking for willing adult volunteers; no experience or skills are required.

Join the weekly trips of the Clean Up! Project and help the owners of homes destroyed by the russian invasion. Volunteer assistance here includes rubble removal, dismantling of the remains of buildings, and cleaning up construction waste.

Want to sign up for the next trip?

If you are not a resident of Ukraine, to sign up for a volunteer trip, you must first fill out the Application Form so that B50 can submit information about the involvement of a foreign volunteer to the National Social Service of Ukraine.

After receiving your information, we will contact you and inform you of the next steps.

If this is not your first time with us, and we have already received your Application Form, you can sign up for volunteer trips. To do this, you need to:

1. Choose a convenient day and leave your details in the Table on this page. You need to select the date, enter your data according to the questions.
The Table is presented in Ukrainian. You can use a translator or ask the coordinator to sign you in.

2. Send a request for participation to the coordinator via Telegram or contact@b50.com.ua

3. Before you begin your volunteer work, be sure to read the Safety rules and Safety briefing.

Protective equipment (gloves, goggles, masks, helmets, vests) and the necessary tools (buckets, wheelbarrows, power tools) are provided at the location by the coordinator of the day.

  • Registration is open until 19.00 on the day before the trip.
  • Fill in your details in the upper chart if you are a volunteer – driver, and in the lower chart if you are a volunteer – passenger.
  • After the registration closes (usually within one to two hours), volunteers are assigned to cars, and all related issues are settled.
  • The result of the assignment is displayed in the upper-right part of the registration file.
  • After the assignment, please carefully check the information that concerns you, and if you need clarifications or corrections, write to the coordinator.
  • The volunteer – driver determines and agrees with the volunteers – passengers on the route, place(s), and time of the meeting.
  • We organize events in three projects: dismantling destroyed housing, repair and finishing work, and painting walls in shelters for children. You can choose one or several options in the Table. In the latter case, you will be assigned to an activity depending on which location has the greatest need for volunteers that day.

B50 gathers volunteers 3 days a week: every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We occasionally organize trips on other weekdays.

You can help either one day a week or several days in a row, if you have enough energy. Volunteers are usually busy from 9:00 to 16:00 (excluding travel time).

We recommend that you bring:

  • a passport or other identity documents
  • work clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty (changeable)
  • closed work shoes (prefer sneakers/boots instead of slates/sandals)
  • drinking water
  • a snack/lunch (at your own taste)

If you wish, also bring:

  • a reusable cup and other utensils
  • in warm weather – sunscreen, light clothing, and a hat
  • in cold weather – a raincoat and warm clothes
  • personal protective equipment – glasses, respirator, gloves
  • a first aid kit with medicines that you may need personally

B50 provides:

  • personal protective equipment (if volunteers do not have it)
  • necessary tools, materials, and equipment for volunteer work.

Our activists travel from Kyiv to the place of volunteering in the cars of volunteer-drivers. The B50 coordinator makes the car assignment after registration is completed. Drivers and passengers will be matched based on geography and the type of work chosen.

The assignment is usually completed around 20:00 on the day before the departure. You will be reminded of it in the Telegram channel.

You can find the distribution in the registration Table (upper right part). There, volunteers can see the names of their drivers and passengers, their contacts, and their areas of residence. Next, it is important to get in touch and agree on the time and place of departure.

Recommended pickup points and times*:

08:10 – Pochaina – metro station (“Gorodok” shopping center parking lot)

08:20 – Akademmistechko metro station

Volunteer drivers can build their own route at their own discretion, provided that they pick up all their passengers and arrive at the work location on time. We ask all volunteer passengers to take care of the drivers’ personal property and inform us in advance about the bulky items you are carrying.

You will see the location of the work at the registration Table. The details (address, geolocation, list of tasks, and other instructions) are sent to drivers after the passengers are distributed to the cars, if necessary.

The largest number of volunteers usually work on debris removal (this is necessary to preserve buildings or their elements, provide convenient access for specialists to assess the condition of the property, and clean the yard before starting new construction).

Some volunteers carry out repair work (this helps to temporarily preserve the building until more funding becomes available). Experienced volunteers are engaged in construction (equipping the premises for living).

When assigning tasks to volunteers, we try to take into account your skills and desires (based on the notes you leave during registration), as well as the forecast and actual weather conditions.

Our volunteers are initiative-driven people. We especially appreciate it when volunteers take on tasks or offer help on their own, adequately assessing their capabilities. We do not force them to perform a specific task, nor do we divide the work into “male” and “female”.

Our community brings together people who are open to communication. They are happy to meet new volunteers and answer questions. Don’t know or understand something? Don’t hesitate to ask!

When performing tasks, we are used to being guided by the requests of the hosts we work for. However, we ask our volunteers to offer alternatives and make joint decisions to help us more effectively.

Each volunteer has his or her own unique rhythm! When helping, try not to chase others. Work at your own pace! Take as many breaks as your body needs.

Volunteers can take photos and videos at the location of their assistance (unless such prohibitions were announced before volunteering). For example, photos of the state of the facility before and after volunteer assistance, interesting moments during the work, etc.

The locations of the volunteer work were checked by deminers. The owners have been cleaning up their plots for a long time, and some have planted vegetables on them. However, it is better to be safe and not touch any suspicious objects!

It is important for all volunteers to follow safety precautions and wear personal protective equipment. Especially during dismantling, using special tools, and repairing roofs.

You can learn more about safety rules in the Safety rules of this page (below).

  • Send your photos and videos to the volunteer chat or our email.

P.AGE Project

Help us turn a new page in the lives of children in the de-occupied territories. P.AGE Project helps to raise funds and deliver sets of 50 new Ukrainian-language educational books to children’s libraries in communities affected by the invasion, as well as to libraries with a low number of high-quality Ukrainian-language literature.

Project will provide participating libraries with a set of books by Ukrainian and international authors. We have also chosen a special theme to widen children’s worldview: these books will be about growing up, inclusion and equality, critical thinking, hobbies and professions, art and science, financial literacy, mental health and self-care, and what they don’t teach at school. This will allow libraries to begin replacing the books burned by russians and the books in russian language that they are replacing.

Donate and get involved in fundraising via PayPal (search us with b50@b50.com.ua), cryptocurrency or bank transfer.

Or promote and share information about the Project.
Send an email to p.age@b50.com.ua to find out how else you can help the Project.

Fluffy Sunday Project

Help animals that have also been affected by the invasion. Join our trips to animal shelters every first Sunday of the month. We invite you to help us dismantle old and shelling-damaged cages and receive pet therapy while interacting with the shelter residents.

To sign up as a volunteer on Fluffy Sunday, follow the announcements on our official website, Telegram channel and social media pages.

Fundraising for B50

Are you an active member of your community? Can you organize a charity fair or other event?

You can fundraise for B50 in your communities or groups and help provide our volunteers with better protective equipment and tools, funds for the development of the organization, and the implementation of our aid programs.

Organize a charity fair, donation fundraiser, charity exhibition, or event, and send the proceeds to B50 Сommunity. With these funds, we will be able to provide our volunteers with all the protective equipment they need while working in the rubble and dust, useful tools, paint to decorate children’s bomb shelters, and new books for destroyed children’s libraries.

You will see updates on our work and how the funds were used.

Humanitarian aid

Do you have humanitarian aid that people in the de-occupied territories may need? Want to donate construction tools or materials for reconstruction or repair? Send your humanitarian aid through B50!

Through our community, you can officially donate this help to Ukraine and be sure that it reaches those in need. Any help would be appreciated, and we will help you find the best use for it.

You can officially send humanitarian aid directly to B50 projects, such as building materials, paints, tools, protective equipment, and anything else that is needed on the construction site.
Or you can send cargo for people and organizations affected by the invasion, medical supplies for hospitals or school supplies for children, for example, and B50 will organize the delivery of this aid to those in need.
