May 2022: more and more work and volunteers

In May, B50 volunteers continued to clean up and rebuild settlements in the Kyiv region that had been destroyed by the russians. In particular, they helped public utilities in Borodianka, one of the most destroyed towns in our region (the center of Borodianka was destroyed by 90%!!!).

We carried out a general cleaning of almost 200 rooms in modular houses, and also equipped a playground near them, so that people who have lost their homes can comfortably move into new homes, and their children could be happy even during the war.

In addition, we sorted humanitarian aid, cleared streets, planted trees, repaired fences, and even cleaned manholes.

We also continued to help our military – stubbornly dug trenches.

Back in May, we realized that B50 Volunteers is not only about cleaning! We got 20 kg of paraffin and launched the production of trench candles for the defenders. Such candles illuminate and warm warriors in shelters. With their help, you can even dry clothes or cook food. Currently, we receive requests for candles from various regions (Kharkiv, Kherson, Donetsk, Kyiv…), and we provide them to the Azov regiment on a permanent basis.

In total, in May 2022, 167 B50 volunteers made 16 trips to various locations in the Kyiv region. The community grew, and the work gained momentum)))
